Most of the tech that’s available in the market enhances our lives in some form or the other. However, with every great product, there’s an equally weird one. The latest one that takes the cake is from a Japanese company known as Otome Yusha who have invented a promotional product called the “Boyfriend Hug Speaker” that as the name suggests is exactly that. This is a full-fledged speaker that’s Bluetooth compatible and features muscular arms that warmly embrace you from the behind. If you have this, who needs a boyfriend anyway, right?
Presently, there are only a few available units of this speaker and it has been produced mainly for promotional purposes. The official name for these bad boys is “Hero of Maiden Hugging Speakers” which ties in with the Hero of Maidens mobile game. For those not in the know, this RPG game is targeted at women and centres around stunningly gorgeous men whose objective is to “save the world through love.”
Even though these speakers were only built to promote the game, fans of the mobile game have the opportunity to win them through various giveaways that are sponsored by Otome Yusha till August 9.
For those fortunate enough to win this Bluetooth speaker, the promoters are encouraging women to not just wear it at home but outdoors as well. The promotional images show a woman using it alone as well as on a date.
