TPV Technology unveils new range of Philips Smart LED TVs in India

TPV Technology, the official brand license partner of Philips Television and Audio in India, has unveiled seven new models of Smart and LED TVs. The Philips TV range will be available with variants across 22-inch to 65-inch. TPV will also be introducing the Philips patented Ambilight technology.

The 65-inch 65PUT6703S/94 TV, which is the largest screen in the range available, is fully equipped with 3-sided Ambilight, which makes movies and games feel more immersive and #BeyondTheScreen. LEDs around the edges of the TV cast onscreen colours onto the walls, and into the room, in real time. You get tuned ambient lighting, making the screen feel bigger than it is. With the ‘Ambilight music mode’ on, the Ambilight output will sync with the music converting your living room into a virtual sound and light show. Further, when you’re not watching TV, there’s even an indirect light mode to turn your set into a sophisticated mood-setting lamp — with any colour you choose.

The range also comes fitted with the latest technology including Pixel Precise HD, an engine that optimises picture quality to deliver crisp images with beautiful contrast. Philips 4K TVs (6100/6700 series) are also equipped with HDR Plus (High Dynamic Range Plus).

You get a Philips proprietary interface called SAPHI, an operating system for Philips Smart TV range (5800/ 6100/6700 series). There is also a special ‘Micro Dimming’ software, that analyses the picture in 6400 different zones and adjusts it accordingly, as per the company. Additionally, DTS HD optimises sound processing by preserving the original sound content. The TVs will be available via both online and offline channels soon.
