LG teases to unveil 'floating' Bluetooth Speaker at CES 2017
LG has announced to launch a new Bluetooth Speaker, which will ‘float in mid-air,’ at the CES 2017 to be held in January in Las Vegas.
LG claims that the levitation electromagnets housed within the Levitation Station of the speaker will allow the upcoming LG PJ9 Bluetooth speaker to float in mid-air without any wires or external support.
The PJ9 features a 360-degree omnidirectional speaker design, and is said to achieve 10 hours of battery run on a single charge. In case, the PJ9’s battery starts to run, it will automatically descend towards Levitation Station and will charge itself, LG said.
PJ9 is IPX7 certified, which means it can withstand immersion of water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. In terms of Bluetooth connectivity, the PJ9 offers standard Bluetooth connectivity with Mutipoint technology, allowing two Bluetooth devices to connect to the speaker simultaneously.
Although, the company has teased to unveil the PJ9 Bluetooth Speaker during CES 2017, it still hasn’t disclosed any pricing details about the device. More information is expected to be revealed as the due date of CES 2017 gets closer.
