Netgear unveils a new R6260 dual-band smart Wi-Fi router in the Indian market. It is powered by a dual-core 880MHz processor that can enable Wi-Fi connections at Gigabit speeds of up to 1600Mbps targeted for larger homes. This new router is also compatible with 802.11 a/b/g/n devices.
The AC1600 promises to offer 3x faster speed and also enables HD streaming. With up to 300+1300Mbps speed and simultaneous dual band WiFi technology, the device clams to avoid wireless interference to ensure top speed and reliable connections. The device is targeted for applications such as lag-free multiple video streaming and multi-player gaming services.
With the AC1600 Smart Wi-Fi router, the company additionally provides Netgear Nighthawk app, for an easy setup, updating, configuring and personalising the router. The router also allows sharing within the network by accessing stored photos and music. The router also provides security features such as parental control to manage web filtering for safer internet browsing. This router uses USB 2.0 port for wireless access and sharing USB hard drive.
The Netgear R6260 dual-band smart Wi-Fi Router (AC1600) is available at a price of Rs 5,999.
