These Apple AirPods killers cost just under Rs 5k

The new AirDots Pro 2 support Bluetooth 5.0 and come with 14.2mm drivers.

Xiaomi recently launched a bunch of products including the Mi Power Bank 3, with 50W charging and a 30W Mi Charge Turbo wireless charging stand. But the most interesting product of the lot is the Mi AirDots Pro 2 which are successors to the Popular Mi AirDots.

The new AirDots Pro 2 support Bluetooth 5.0 and come with 14.2mm drivers. They also have dual microphones for ENC. The earbuds are launched only in China as of now and should launch in global markets soon. In China, the earbuds launched at CNY 399, which is roughly Rs 4,000. We expect the price to be below Rs 5,000 when the product officially launches in India.

As of now, the Mi AirDots Pro 2 is available in only one colour, that is white. The design of the earbuds takes heavy inspiration from the Apple AirPods and even the charging case looks similar. The earbuds will feature a semi-hook that will help keep them in place when in use.

The earbuds will support Bluetooth 5.0 and LDHC Hi-Res audio codec. There is also a dual-microphone setup that offers voice control and noise cancellation. Integrated IR sensors in the buds can detect when they have been taken out of the ears and will automatically pause music.

The earphones also feature touch controls for changing the volume and tracks. They will connect to both iOS and Android devices. The case, which weighs just 50 grams, charges with USB-C. The Mi AirDots Pro 2 will offer 4 hours of playback on one charge of the buds, and 14 hours, if you include the case.
