FiiO BTR3 Bluetooth amplifier launched in India with Siri support

The high-fidelity Bluetooth amplifier has been priced at Rs 6,990 and is available on various online and offline retail channels.

Popular Chinese audio equipment manufacturer FiiO has recently announced the BTR3 portable high-fidelity Bluetooth amplifier in India. This amplifier has been released in India for Rs 6,990 and has gone on sale on FiiO’s official website as well as various other online and offline retail channels.

FiiO claims that it is the first Bluetooth amplifier in the world to support all current wireless audio codecs – such as AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX Low Latency, aptX HD, LDAC, and LHDC. This allows them to ensure great audio quality to Bluetooth earphones. The Qualcomm CR8675 Bluetooth chip used in the BTR3 is a low-power solution designed for enhanced audio applications with support for 24-bit transmission and processing, because of its 120MHz DSP. This chip is also much more stable in signal strength than other competing chips, especially in situations with lots of interference. It comes with NFC support that enables nearby pairing of devices with just a tap.

The 300 mAh battery in the BTR3 takes 1.5 hours to fully charge and allows for 11 hours of continuous playback. BTR3 is also equipped with Qualcomm's cVc noise cancellation technology, which automatically adjusts the microphone and actively suppresses background noise so that your call comes through as clear and audible as possible. When a smartphone is paired with it, the phone's volume is adjusted independently from the BTR3's own volume control, giving you two sets of volume controls. The BTR3 remembers the volume level you last used it at, so no need to constantly reset your volume after simply turning the device off.

When driving, you can connect your smartphone to the BTR3 via Bluetooth, and then connect the BTR3 to your car's audio system via a 3.5mm audio cable. It also supports Siri where you can call up Siri in iOS whenever you want with a double click of the multifunctional button on the BTR3.

The BTR3 features a Type-C connector for charging and USB DAC functionality is now also supported so no drivers needed here. It is built with an aluminium body and features a 2.5D glass that’s found on most of the recent smartphones that are available currently. The amplifier features an oleophobic coating that helps in keeping off fingerprints.

FiiO claims that it's easy to carry around the BTR3 with either of two methods: hanging from a lanyard or attached via the rear clip.
