Xiaomi's Mi Notebook updated with 8th Gen Intel Core processors

The new Notebook features a 15.6-inch full HD anti-glare display and has a wide-viewing angle of 178 degrees.

Xiaomi, a company better known for its smartphone, has expanded its range of laptops with the launch of a new 15.6-inch Mi Notebook in China. To recall, the company already has Mi Notebook Air, Mi Notebook Pro, and Mi Gaming Laptop series.

The new Notebook features a 15.6-inch full HD anti-glare display and has a wide-viewing angle of 178 degrees. The base model is powered by an eighth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and the top-end variant runs on eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, clubbed with 8GB RAM. In the graphics department, the laptop comes with a Nvidia GeForce MX110 GPU, paired with 2GB of RAM.

There's also a dual-fan layout that comes along with a 2+2 heat-sinking pipe, that makes it effective in dissipating the heat that the processor generates. The notebook also offers two 3W stereo speakers that are powered by Dolby surround sound to deliver an immersive media experience. It comes with two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an Ethernet port, an SD card slot, a USB Type-C port, and a DC port.

The new Notebook is available in China in two colour options — Deep Gray and White. It is priced at CNY 3,999 (approx Rs 40,700) for the 4GB RAM model and CNY 4,499 (approx Rs 45,800) for the 8GB RAM model, that is powered by an eighth-generation Intel Core i5 processor. And for the 8GB RAM variant, powered by an eighth-generation Intel Core i7 processor, is priced at CNY 4,999 (approx Rs 50,900). As of now, the pricing details of the new laptop in other markets, including India haven't been revealed yet.
