Vodafone accidentally lists this virtual reality headset for free
During the early hours of Easter Sunday, Vodafone made many of the customers visiting its website very happy. The company reportedly listed a virtual reality headset — which ideally costs around 80 pounds — as free. Quite naturally, shoppers were quick to order it and the firm was then forced to give away the headset for free.
It was only later that the company clarified that the gadget was supposed to come free with S7 or S8 headsets.
Vodafone later started cancelling orders.
“Due to a temporary glitch on our website on Easter Day, a Samsung VR headset was listed as free, rather than at its normal price, for a number of hours,” a Vodafone spokesman said.
“We are making sure that everyone who ordered a headset during that time will get one for free,” he added.
