LG unveils new Gram 2018 line of laptops

Some variants are expected to feature 8GB of memory, while others will be outfitted with 16GB.

LG has announced its Gram ultra thin line of notebooks incorporated with Intel’s quad-core 8th generation Core i5/i7 processors and optional Thunderbolt connectivity.

The new notebooks come with 13.3-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch with optional touch support. These notebooks will have a new Carbon Magnesium alloy chassis that visually resembles the current-gen LG gram notebooks.

The company didn’t disclose much about the lineup apart from the CPU specs. Some variants are expected to feature 8GB of memory, while others will be outfitted with 16GB.

Storage wise, the new systems will have SSDs with regular capacity you expect from modern notebooks (256 GB – 512 GB), with an additional M.2 slot for an extra drive. Connectivity options will include an 802.11ac Wi-Fi + BT module, two USB 3.0 Type-A headers, a USB Type-C connector, an HDMI output and a mini-jack for headphones.

LG has also tucked in a new battery featuring 72 Wh capacity that claims to offer up to 19 – 22.5 hours of battery life.
