HP unveils 260 G3 mini desktop with 7th Gen Intel Core processor

HP's new product aims to boost technology adoption among students across India.

HP has introduced has introduced a mini desktop to help students across India to learn, collaborate and enjoy the learning experience. Priced below Rs 20,000, the HP 260 G3 desktop mini is aimed at encouraging the use of technology for learning.

Designed specifically for the Indian education ecosystem, the affordability of these desktops will enable schools and institutes to set up or upgrade the computers in their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) labs at a minimal cost. HP says that these devices will help students enhance their science and technological skills, thereby enhancing their knowledge and creativity.

The HP 260 G3 is a compact yet powerful PC with Intel integrated graphics. When paired with HP Integrated Work Center and HP EliteDisplay, teachers can read and present files easily. With the wide range of input display connectors (VGA, USB, HDMI), documents can also be shared across multiple monitors.

Apart from being highly portable, the HP 260 G3 is also easily upgradeable and serviceable. Its rear thumb screw allows the unit to be opened easily and components are labelled and colour-coded for easy replacement. To help maximize desk space, the device can be mounted on a monitor with the Dual VESA Sleeve and paired with an HP Wireless Keyboard.

The HP 260 G3 features Windows 10 Pro OS and is powered by a 7th Gen Intel Core processor that’s coupled with up to 32GB of DDR4. The Mini Desktop comes with a one year warranty.

The Pentium Dual Core version with an 18.5-inch monitor is available for Rs 19,990. The Intel Core i3 variant with an 18.5-inch monitor is available at a starting price of Rs 25,990. An HP Wireless Keyboard is available for Rs 1,250.
