Apple has rolled out a $99 Smart Battery Case for its newest iPhone, the iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case will improve the device Talk time up to 26 hours, internet use up to 22 hours on LTE and video playback up to 24 hours.

According to customers feedback the device has been confirmed to charge 26 per cent more compared to the iPhone 6s Smart Battery Case, as the iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case is rated for 2,365mAh, while the iPhone 6s case is rated for 1,877mAh.

An iPhone 7 teardown performed by iFixit, a well-known repair and teardown website, revealed that the smartphone sports a 1960mAh of battery. This means using Apple’s Smart Battery Case additionally can charge the iPhone’s battery to 100 per cent from roughly 17 per cent, according to macrumours.

The Smart Battery Case, when in use, will display battery status on the iPhone lock screen, and in Notification Centre, to keep users aware of the handset’s charge level.
