China’s Apple, Xiaomi recently launched a portable mosquito repellent device. The repellent, which is launched as a part of the company’s Mi Ecosystem, is said to be offered at a staggering price of approximately Rs 270 (4$). It is now available for purchase in China.
How it works
The Repeller takes the form of a circular device that holds a mosquito repellent mat inside. It is then placed inside a tiny slot by twisting the device 90-degrees. What is interesting to note is the fact that it is highly mobile by nature and therefore, can easily be carried anywhere. The device starts functioning as soon as it is connected to a power source.
Functionality
Primarily targeted for those engaging in outdoor activities for long; it merely weighs 25g and measures 4.6cm in diameter. According to internal tests, the Repeller which consists of a micro SB slot, lasts for up to 14 hours when plugged to Mi Power Bank 10000mAh and up to 28 hours when plugged to Mi Power Bank 20000mAh.
Design
The device is made using a minimalist design pattern and is available in several light colors including white.
The cover is carefully polished with heat resistant materials such as stainless steel. Moreover, the surface temperature is further kept in control through the means of fiber glass insulation that is essentially installed for this purpose.
Apart from the portable mosquito repellent, the company has also recently unveiled a list of other devices including the Qicycle Electric Folding Bike.
