Xiaomi announced that it continues to be the market leader in the smart TV segment in Q3 2019, earlier this week, quoting data from IDC’s latest Worldwide Quarterly Smart Home Device Tracker, Q3 2019. With a market share of 33 per cent, MiTV has now maintained market leadership for six consecutive quarters.
As per IDC, MiTV’s market share is:
- 19 per cent greater market share than Samsung India
- 20 per cent greater market share than LG
- 23 per cent greater market share than Sony
- 24 per cent greater market share than TCL
Today, apart from online, MiTVs are available across 70+ Mi Homes, 20+ Mi Studios, 2500+ Mi Stores and several Mi Preferred Partner outlets. Also, more than 85 per cent of MiTVs sold in India are made in India with a focus on bringing more component assembly to the country.
