Samsung is expected to introduce its next super-sized smartphone, Galaxy Note at its ‘Unpacked’ event held on August 23rd. A new report now suggests that the company might launch a new fitness tracker, believed to be the Gear Fit Pro 2 along with its flagship device as well. The smart wearable has made an appearance on Samsung’s website, as spotted by SamMobile. The report also indicates that the device might be launched at the IFA event, or towards the beginning of September this year.
Since it’s called Gear Fit Pro 2, it is believed that the device will be a minor upgrade rather than a major overhaul, in comparison to last year’s Gear Fit 2. Several reports in the recent past even suggested that Samsung might be working on introducing a Gear S3 as well, as the device was recently spotted online.
The company reportedly registered the ‘Gear Fit Pro’ trademark towards the beginning of this year. Following which rumours regarding Samsung planning to infuse a smartwatch and fitness tracker together, have been floating on the internet.
