Xiaomi first unveiled its Mi VR Play headset in China back in August. The company has now made their VR headset available in the Indian market at a price of Rs 999.
The headset features a ‘two-way zipper design’ that allows users to insert and remove a smartphone. It is made of lycra material and sports dual-front openings for adjustments and ventilation. The company has made the Mi VR Play headset compatible with Google Cardboard and smartphones that sport 4.7-inch to 5.7-inch displays including the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
The headset sports anti-reflective lens for image clarity and optical-grade aspheric lens that has a tolerance interval of 0.01mm. Xiaomi has also introduced non-slip pads into the VR headset.
The company along with the headset has also launched a live-video streaming app, Mi Live in India. The app is now available via Google Play.
