Lenovo commits to 12 new Moto Mods in 2017
Lenovo-owned Motorola recently launched two new Moto Mods for its Moto Z series. Now reports suggest that the company has further committed to releasing 12 additional Moto Mods in the coming year.
While in talks with CNET, Motorola’s Senior Director of Product Management John Touvannas said that the company plans on ramping up Moto Mods development in 2017. “Our goal is to get more Mods out this year than we did last year, no question,” he told the news agency.
All the current and future models in the Moto Z line-up including Moto Z, Moto Z Force and Moto Z Play will be compatible with the mods. CNET further pointed out that Lenovo’s year runs from April to April. Therefore, on this basis, it is safe to assume that the company won’t be unveiling any new mods in the coming months.
