Apple's LG-built 5K display gets 25 per cent cheaper

Apple is reducing the price of its LG UltraFine 5K display to $1000.

Apple is cutting the price of its LG-built 5K UltraFine Display by more than 25 per cent, reducing the price tag from $1,299.95 (approximately Rs 87,000) to $1,000 (approximately Rs 67,000).

In terms of specification, the 8.5kg LG UltraFine 5K display features a 27-inch screen with 5120x2880 of resolution and P3 wide colour gamut. The display includes a single Thunderbolt 3 which provides up to 85W of charging power to the MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports and three downstream USB-C ports (5 Gbps) which offers additional connectivity and power to compatible devices and accessories.

In addition, Apple has also confirmed to cut the price of its 4K display version from $699.95(approximately Rs 47,000) to $592 (approximately Rs 40,000), again built in partnership with the LG.

Both the models are available on Apple’s online store, however, the 5K display model will go sale in December, while the 4K display is presently available.
