Google's Chromecast Ultra to come with 4K and HDR support
Google introduced its Chromecast Ultra at the hardware launch event in California yesterday.
With this, users can now stream videos with advanced features like 4K and High Dynamic Range (HDR) support with ease. Moreover, the Chromecast Ultra will also be featuring Dolby Vision.
According to their website, Google Play Movies and TV will also be rolling out special 4K content later this year. This will especially come to use when the users’ TV doesn’t necessarily support 4K-content as Chromecast Ultra will automatically optimize the TV’s picture to run along the lines of the former.
Chromecast Ultra is also said to load videos 1.8 times faster than other Chromecast devices. It further includes several Wi-Fi improvements to support stream from full HD to Ultra HD content. Google has also added Ethernet support for a wired connection.
Chromecast Ultra will be available in November for $69 from Best Buy, the Google Store, Target and Walmart in the U.S. as well as from international retailers in 15 other countries.
