French tech company, Kolibree at CES2017 introduced a toothbrush that has its own embedded AI (Artificial Intelligence). The smart toothbrush is dubbed as ‘Ara’
The toothbrush packs in a bunch of sensors that monitor how long you use it each day and which areas of your mouth you hit. The collected data will be analysed by Kolibree’s “patented deep learning algorithms,” and then the recommendation on how to improve brushing will be sent to user’s phone and emailed once a week.
Additionally, the Ara also comes with mobile games, meaning users can play by brushing their teeth. It could help children grow good habits and learn more about dental hygiene. The Ara is available to perorder for a temporary price of $80 and will cost $130 when it goes on sale this March.
