ChatGPT Receives 2.5 Billion Prompts Per Day

OpenAI’s ChatGPT is receiving 2.5 billion prompts every day from users globally, according to a report by Axiom.

The numbers highlight the widespread presence of OpenAI’s chatbot around the world.

While OpenAI’s rival Google does not release official data on daily search volumes, it recently revealed that it receives 5 trillion queries per year. Independent researchers estimate that Google receives over 13.7 billion searches each day.

ChatGPT has experienced rapid growth in recent months. In December 2024, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that ChatGPT was receiving 1 billion queries per day. In just eight months, that number has more than doubled.
