Apple's Beats Launches Powerbeats Pro 2 Earbuds With Heart-Rate Monitoring

The heart-rate monitor technology featured in the earbuds is based on the tech already used in the Apple Watch

Apple-owned Beats on Tuesday launched the much-anticipated Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds with a heart-rate monitor.
The heart-rate monitor technology featured in the earbuds is based on the tech already used in the Apple Watch, and the data will go into the Apple Health app. The wireless earbuds will be compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 is powered by the H2 chip, the same chip used in the AirPods Pro 2. It features a transparent mode that allows users to hear external noise, comes with enhanced spatial audio, and has a smaller case that can be charged wirelessly.
The Powerbeats Pro 2 is priced at Rs 29,900 in India and will be available for purchase from February 13. It will be available in four colour options: Electric Orange, Quick Sand, Hyper Purple, and Jet Black.
The wireless earbuds can give up to 10 hours of playback and 45 hours with the charging case, claims Apple. In contrast, the Powerbeats Pro 2 offers better battery life compared to the AirPods 2, which have a battery life of 6 hours and 30 hours with the case. However, the AirPods 2 come with other advanced features, including the new hearing aid feature.
Apple is also set to introduce the heart-rate monitor technology in AirPods as well, according to a report by Bloomberg.
