Honor 5X, Holly 2 Plus announced in India: check out price, key specs

The Honor 5X and Holly 2 Plus will be available for pre-orders on Flipkart and Amazon.

New Delhi: Huawei’s Smartphone e-brand for digital natives, Honor, on Thursday officially announced the launch of Honor 5X and Holly 2 Plus in India. The newly launched phones are aimed at meeting the multi-media needs of today’s generation.

The Honor 5X and Holly 2 Plus will be available for pre-orders on Flipkart and Amazon starting today. The official sales of the Honor 5X will start from Feb.1 and the Holly 2 will be available from Feb.16.

With these two new product introductions, Honor is optimistic of providing phones, which suit the needs of Indian customers.

The Honor 5X is a stylish smartphone that adheres to all the requirements of an ideal multimedia smartphone. It bundles in a high-quality metal body along with next-generation fingerprint technology and a decent performance specs—all at an affordable price.

According to the company, the Honor 5X is a dual-SIM smartphone powered by a rim-free touch fingerprint sensor with a 0.5 second unlock time.

This is also the first Honor metallic phone with nano-SIM, micro-SIM, and microSD card slots, together with expandable storage space up to 128GB, a 5.5 inch fully laminated GFF 1080p full HD screen and T6735 4x1.3GHz Processor.

The device is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front snapper and is backed by a powerful 3000mAh smart 3.0 battery, which lasts for approximately 10 hours.

The handset comes with a premium aircraft grade metal that offers 5 layer heat sinks with copper shielding cover. It runs on a more intuitive Android 5.1+ HUAWEI EMUI 3.1 Lite, which offers a simple, clear and stylish design.

The phone boasts of 2GB RAM along with 12bit ADC high-precision gravity sensor, Bluetooth 4.0, light sensor, proximity sensor, FM radio and Wi-Fi Direct Connect making it a good addition in this price segment. The phone had its debut at International CES 2016 earlier this month.

The Honor 5X will be available in three colors—gold, silver and grey and is priced at Rs 12,999.

On the other hand, the Holly 2 Plus is a smartphone specially designed for the Indian market, and also one of the only smartphone, which supports both 4G for both CDMA and WCDMA at the same time.

The phone offers a 4000 mAH battery with a reverse charging to share your power with your friend via Micro-B USB to Micro-B USB Cable, Dual-mic Noise Cancellation Technology with Outstanding audio and integrated speaker experience.

The device offers 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera that helps to explain your best side.

The handset offers 16GB internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. A 64-bit high-speed processor and 2GB RAM offer consumers more power and pleasure.

The Holly 2 Plus will be available in black, white and gold colours and is priced at Rs 8,499.
