Why Is Keerthy Not Doing Any Films?

Not even her harshest critic can deny the immeasurable talent of Keerthy Suresh. Not only her National Award winning performance in Mahanati, but a slew of powerful performances which established her as one of the foremost performers. Post her marriage, the offers have dried up. Keerthi was last seen in that monstrous misfire Uppu Kappurambu on OTT. There are no new projects in Keerthy’s kitty.
She was on the verge of signing Venky Atluri’s film with Suriya as her co-star. But was dropped from the project. In Hindi, Keerthy was being considered for several plum films including a Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar production. The disastrous failure of her first Hindi film Baby John killed her Bollywood career.
A Tamil actor says, “Keerthy is fantastic. But audiences in the South are not very enthused by married actresses.”
