Vivek Turns Archvillian in Vanga’s ‘Spirit’
Set for an epic showdown with Prabhas, the actor transforms in a radical makeover
Vivek Oberoi will portray the supervillain in Sandeep Vanga’s upcoming film Spirit, going head-to-head with Prabhas. The climactic showdown between the two promises to evoke memories of Bobby Deol and Ranbir Kapoor’s electrifying face-off in Animal.
Interestingly, Vanga had initially considered Bobby Deol for the archvillain role. However, the director chose to reserve Deol’s diabolical charm for the Animal sequel, set to roll out in 2027.
For Spirit, which began shooting this year, Vivek’s transformation is so radical that he reportedly struggled to recognise himself in the mirror each morning after makeup.
While Vivek is not permitted to discuss his role publicly, a source close to the actor revealed, “Vivek had played a supervillain opposite Hrithik Roshan in Krrish 3, but the archvillain in Spirit is intimidating beyond anything we’ve seen before—including Bobby Deol in Animal.”
