Vicky Bulks Up 25-kg for ‘Mahavatar’
The actor will also undergo training in archery and axe combat to portray the warrior-sage Parashurama

Vicky Kaushal is set to undergo another dramatic physical transformation, gaining over 25 kg to play Chiranjeevi Parashurama in Amar Kaushik’s upcoming mythological epic Mahavatar.
To achieve this hulking physique, the actor will reunite with celebrity fitness coach Tejas Lalwani, who previously supervised his transformation for Chhaava. Training is expected to begin in September, giving Vicky a tight three-month window before filming starts in December 2026.
While Vicky previously bulked from 80 kg to 105 kg for Chhaava, insiders report that Mahavatar demands an even broader, more intimidating screen presence to match the ancient scriptures’ depiction of Parashurama as a powerful warrior-sage. Apart from intensive muscle-building, the actor will also train in archery and learn to wield the divine axe, or parashu, for the film’s action sequences.
