The US-based Telugu billionaire, who made headlines for his daughter Netra’s spectacular wedding in Udaipur, attended by members of the Trump family, was recently spotted at the ultra-exclusive Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles. He was seated in one of the first few rows — which shows he is one of the A-list guests. With Nicole Kidman, Kris Jenner and Timothée Chalamet among the A-list audience, this was one of the hottest tickets in Hollywood.They say, to be among the A-listers in America, is no small feat. Love gone wrong
A once-popular socialite, who was a familiar face on the party circuit and counted several of the city’s leading couples among his friends, is suddenly missing from the scene. His unexplained absence had reportedly left friends wondering what had happened. The buzz now is that a long-standing relationship has ended on a bitter note, and his former partner has filed a police complaint containing a string of ugly allegations.
The poor man is terrified because cops first arrest and then the case is investiagted.
Moral of the story: Guys, do not underestimate the girls. If you need to break off, do it elegantly so there is no bitterness.
Nobody has cash!
Financial experts have been urging people to save, conserve cash and brace for what could be some financially challenging years ahead.
Word is that a gentleman from an erstwhile Nawab family, is looking to sell off his vintage jewellery collection. Around 15 sets, at a price of `10 crore plus. When a prospective buyer sounded out some of the city’s leading jewellers, they were not convinced with the price tag or the vintage part. And without examining the pieces in person, they weren’t willing to offer a valuation — the nawab has quite the dubious distinction, they said. The nawab also was reluctant to show the jewels in person to the jewellers.
Another businessman too is said to be looking to cash in on his sizeable collection of MF Husain paintings. But here, too, the prices are apparently sky-high.
The irony? Finding buyers with excess cash to match these lofty valuations is next to impossible. One thought the real estate big guys had plenty of money, but they too are saying “situation is very tight.”
Lucky men have smart wives
For generations, girls have been told that landing a smart, successful and well-heeled husband is a blessing. But what about the men who strike gold with equally ambitious, capable wives? In Telugu circles, there are a few interesting examples.
Take Nellore MP V. Prabhakar Reddy. While he’s the cash bags, his wife Prashanti Reddy, a TDP MLA, is the one in the limelight. With her Instagram presence keeping her visible well beyond her constituency, she has become a familiar name across the Telugu states. Whispers suggest she could be eyeing a ministerial berth next. With her political connections and public profile growing, Prabhakar Reddy appears happy to cheer her on from the sidelines.
Then there’s Archit Reddy, filmmaker Dil Raju’s son-in-law and Hansita Reddy’s husband. Hansita is busy juggling several ventures, and wherever her professional and social pursuits take her, Archit is happy to see her glow in the limelight. And what a party she had for Archit’s 40th birthday!
Clearly, the idea of a successful marriage is getting a modern makeover. It’s not about the man being the star of the show, it’s letting the wife be in the limelight.

Our city’s OG designer, after a longish break, unveiled his latest collection and all his old friends in the city were present to cheer him. His new collection is fabulous, and even nicer was to see Anand back in his element. The invite was only for his close friends, and not the aam birkin parade ladies who are regulars at every show these days.

Who turns 75 years this weekend? Apna Dr Mohan Alexander. Mohan is the most loved city paediatrician, literally a whole generation of kids, who may now be in their 40s, were treated by him as babies. Even adults swear by his expertise on medicine. Here’s wishing him all the best on his special day.
What do many people not know about Divya Reddy? She’s an exceptional photographer and is exhibiting her pictures on wildlife in a Diwali pop up exhibition held at Rachna Mehta’s home. The latter too designs lovely jewellery.
