From glam to gyan
Suddenly, our city is seeing a surge of society folks turning wellness advisors. Two names doing the rounds are Manjula Gattamaneni, sister of actor Mahesh Babu, and Shilpa Reddy. A quick scroll through their Instagram pages offers daily gyan on what to eat, how to stay happy and which habits to drop. While the advice is certainly worth a listen, one can’t help but wonder what’s driving this sudden passion for preaching wellness. That said, both ladies look fabulous — perhaps they really are practicing what they preach.
Politics at KBR park
KBR Park’s membership rules are leaving many city walkers baffled. A yearly pass costs Rs 3,000, but we hear the slots are mysteriously “full”. Rumour has it that passes flow freely to babus and those who matter. Meanwhile, regular citizens keen on a daily walk are politely told the annual passes are over and offered a monthly pass instead — for Rs 1,400. One can’t help but wonder: what exactly is the logic here?
Not in her father’s shadow
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmita Konidela is quietly carving out a space of her own. She’s steering clear of the family business, though initially she began her journey as a costume designer for her father before stepping confidently into independent film production. Her upcoming film with Chiru, Mana Shankar Vara Prasad, that’s ready for release, is said to be a fun family entertainer. And if the film does well at the box office, there may well be no holding Sushmita back.
Rich boys list
Every new year brings with it the familiar parade of lists — rich families, powerful women, emerging leaders etc. This time, however, one magazine has decided to spotlight ‘10 Rich Bachelor Boys’ of the city. They include sons of real estate heavyweights, infra structure companies, pharmaceutical barons, owners of a corporate hospital, a well-known jeweller and the likes.
