Tabu Plays Antagonist in Nagarjuna’s 100th Film
The role is the total opposite of the on-screen romance the two stars embodied in the 90s

When Nagarjuna invited Tabu to be part of his 100th film, he promised she would have a never-before-seen avatar. He has lived up to his promise! Tabu plays the antagonist in the landmark film.
The two of them are coming together nearly 28 years after their iconic 1996 romantic drama Ninne Pelladatha. However, rather than reprising the on-screen chemistry they shared in their mid-90s hits, Tabu will be seen on the opposite side of the law to Nagarjuna this time around.
The commercial drama directed by Ra Karthik is about a strong father-daughter dynamic and has a rags-to-riches arc. Nagarjuna uses advanced de-aging technology to play his character across various stages of life, from age 25 to 60. And Tabu’s dark-shaded role in the film will be substantial.
This is not the first time Tabu is going rogue. In Andhadhun (2018) her chilling, deceptive and ruthless portrayal of the murderous Simi Sinha earned her widespread critical acclaim and awards for Best Actor in a Negative Role. In Maqbool (2003) as Nimmi, the ambitious and manipulative instigator who plots against her own lover and boss, she established herself as a powerhouse in playing morally complex shades, and many other similar roles.
