Sreeleela Teams Up With Ibrahim Ali Khan
Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, the Maddock Films project titled Diler has already completed shooting
After a string of setbacks in Telugu cinema, Sreeleela is now focusing on Bollywood with two back-to-back Hindi projects. One of them is Anurag Basu’s untitled film opposite Kartik Aaryan, where Sreeleela hopes to move beyond her dancing-star image and establish herself as a performer.
Before that release, however, the actresswill be seen in a hush-hush project for Maddock Films titled Diler. The film, already completed, stars Ibrahim Ali Khan as a marathon runner and is directed by Kunal Deshmukh. Shooting took place across London and other locations.
After the back-to-back failures of Nadaaniyan and Sarzameen, Ibrahim is under pressure to prove himself. Industry watchers are now curious whether Sreeleela’s Bollywood momentum can help give Saif Ali Khan’s son the breakthrough he needs.
Sources say the makers of Diler are planning its release strategy carefully and may wait until the release of Sreeleela’s film with Kartik Aaryan before unveiling the Ibrahim-Sreeleela project.
