Sparkle, Style & Festive Cheer
Extravagant settings, lavish décor, elaborate menus, lively music and familiar faces... Hyderabad’s affluent come together to celebrate the festival in style

From spectacular lakeside soirées to royal black-and-gold extravaganzas, Hyderabad’s social circuit celebrated Diwali with a generous dose of glamour. Think statement installations, lavish tablescapes, curated menus, premium pours, international DJs and guest lists that brought together the city’s who’s who.
DILWALO KI DIWALI
An exclusive, invite-only celebration, Dilwalo Ki Diwali, hosted by Vibecheck founders Parikshit Chugh and Mohd Ahmed Shareef, brought together Hyderabad’s celebrities, entrepreneurs, socialites and influencers at Lakeside Convention Hall, Ananda Convention, overlooking Himayatsagar Lake.
Actors Vedvika Soni, Himani Negi and Rukhsar Haidry, popular MC Neha Gupta and entrepreneurs Nishant Saboo, Charanpreet Singh, Keertan Goel, Ayush Agarwal, Prabjot Singh and Vaishnavi Sirna were among the guests.
Event charmers transformed the venue with vibrant festive décor, while DJs Nikita and Krish kept the dance floor buzzing. A surprise performance by emerging Bollywood DJ talent Satwik Chopdar added to the excitement. For Parikshit, the ultimate Diwali fantasy would be a grand Bollywood-Sufi extravaganza, with celebrated performers and an immersive Sufi-inspired setting. Co-host Mohd Ahmed Shareef, meanwhile, dreams of giving traditional festive favourites such as soan papdi and rasgulla a gourmet makeover.
ART OF LUXURY DIWALI
For Rushit Mehta, luxury is as much about the finer details as it is about the overall spectacle. His dream Diwali party would revolve around exquisite tablescaping — beautifully dressed tables, layered textures, elegant tableware, striking floral arrangements and carefully planned lighting. He believes a setting should have its own character rather than resemble a conventionally decorated party venue.
Food, however, is non-negotiable. An absolute foodie, Rushit is particular about every course and trusts Foodlink or Fusion 9 to deliver on quality, presentation and execution. His ideal evening would begin with a live singer before transitioning into a DJ-led dance floor, allowing the energy to build naturally.
For him, the ultimate indulgence is a seamless guest experience, where exceptional hospitality, memorable food, beautiful surroundings and great music come together effortlessly. A grand venue may impress, but it is the attention to detail that makes a celebration unforgettable.
ROYAL AFFAIR IN BLACK & WHITE
At another glamorous address, Raghav Kabra of Madhusudan Marble, combined Diwali festivities with a birthday celebration for his wife, Amrita Kabra, at the White House Terrace. The venue was transformed into a royal spectacle in white, black and gold. White floral arches, dramatic black drapes with golden shimmer, crystal chandeliers and hundreds of golden diyas and candles created an opulent setting. A grand entrance framed by white roses and black-and-gold balloons completed the picture.
The culinary spread brought together Indian, Continental and Asian cuisines, with live cooking stations adding theatre to the experience. At the bar, the signature Picante — spicy, tangy and spirited — emerged as the evening's favourite, alongside premium cocktails and mocktails. The music was equally extravagant. DJ Yash and Swan, flown in from Australia, blended international beats with Bollywood chartbusters, keeping the dance floor alive well into the night. Friends Rahul Jain, Nishant Saboo, Sumit Bajaj and Ramesh Patel joined the celebrations, along with cousins Nikhil, Devki Nandan and Tripti, who flew in from Thailand. A birthday cake, fireworks and an evening of celebrations brought the festivities to a fitting close.
Highlights: “A grand venue may impress, but it is the attention to detail that makes a celebration unforgettable.”
“A celebration that brought together the city's familiar faces and emerging social crowd, with plenty of music, colour and festive cheer.”
