Sonakshi swears by ghee, aloe and face yoga
The actress opens up about her fuss-free skincare rituals inspired by her mother’s beauty wisdom

Fresh off the shoot of her Telugu debut Jatadhara, Sonakshi Sinha shared the self-care rituals she swears by — simple, rooted in tradition, and deeply personal.
“I moisturise and use a blend of aloe vera gel with jojoba and almond oil. It forms a soothing paste that I apply to my face,” the actress, who believes in keeping her skincare routine natural and fuss-free, tells us.
Sonakshi credits her mother for introducing her to organic beauty remedies. “My mom introduced me to many organic beauty masks and pastes. She always told me that when my skin feels too dry, I can use ghee or coconut oil,” she shares. “She also makes this incredible paste with multani mitti.”
Among her go-to beauty tricks is one that’s easy to replicate. “One of my favourite tricks is taking a fresh aloe vera leaf and rubbing it directly on my face,” she adds.
For those with dry skin like hers, Sonakshi recommends applying face oil as a simple, effective fix. “This hack is a game-changer for super dry skin. Try this out thrice a week with any face oil — even pure coconut oil will do. I have super dry skin, so this works for me. If you have oily or combination skin, this might not be the best approach. You can always try it with a cream that suits your skin.”
“I apply face oil and follow it up with a series of massaging techniques, targeting both my face and neck. I use face yoga movements, applying gentle yet firm pressure to the skin. It helps lift and sculpt the face, improves blood circulation, and promotes relaxation.”
