Veteran actresses Sharmila Tagore and Simi Garewal trod the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2025, and photographs of the iconic moment have prompted emotional responses from Netizens.
While Sharmila chose a traditional green silk saree, Simi wore a white gown paired with an overcoat.
Sharing photographs of the two, and of the cast of Aranyer Din Ratri (Days and Nights in the Forest), a 1970 Satyajit Ray film screened under the Cannes Classics section, Sharmila’s daughter Saba Pataudi posted, “In the midst of chaos was calm.
