Sara Arjun Tipped To Star Opposite Dhanush
Age-gap issues come to the fore again

Sara Arjun
Sara Arjun, who started as a child artiste in Tamil cinema, and is currently riding high on the success of Bollywood blockbuster Dhurandhar, is now tipped to play the female lead in Dhanush’s next film helmed by Tamilarasan Pachamuthu.
Rukmini Vasanth was reportedly initially approached but withdrew due to call-sheet issues. According to sources, she has given bulk dates to the Jr NTR–Prashanth Neel film.
An official announcement on Sara’s casting is awaited.
Meanwhile, the reported casting has sparked discussions because of the noticeable age gap between 42-year-old National Award winner Dhanush and Sara, who is around 20.
Those who support the casting point out that in Dhurandhar, Sara was cast alongside Ranveer Singh, who is also about 20 years older than her.
As a child artiste, Sara Arjun was an instant hit with critically acclaimed films like Deiva Thirumagal and Saivam. She was also one of the leads in Sillu Karuppatti and had a brief role in Mani Ratnam’s period action drama Ponniyin Selvan. She later went on to do supporting roles in Hindi cinema.
