Samantha To Team Up With Tamil Star Simbu?

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is reportedly in talks for a big-ticket Tamil film titled Arasan opposite Silambarasan (Simbu). “Talks are on with the makers, but nothing has been finalised yet,” a source revealed. The film will be directed by Vetrimaaran, known for critically acclaimed hits such as Visaranai and Asuran. “Samantha holds the director in high regard, but she is currently weighing her options,” the source added.

Meanwhile, the actress has returned to work after her marriage to Raj Nidimoru. The teaser of her Telugu film Maa Inti Bangaram has already generated considerable buzz. “She plays an author-backed role of a housewife with a mysterious past,” the source said.

Interestingly, Samantha made her Tamil debut with Baana Kaathadi and worked with several leading Kollywood stars, including Vijay (Theri, Kaththi), Vikram (10 Endrathukulla), and Suriya (Anjaan). However, it was the Telugu film Ye Maaya Chesave that established her as a top actress and she proceeded to rule the roost in Tollywood. “She has nicely balanced her career between the two industries in the last 15 years,” the source noted.
