Rs 5 Crore for 8 Mins: Tamannaah Sets the Stage on Fire
The actress’ sizzling talent in this arm of dance is matched only by the hot prices she commands
Tamannah Bhatia walked away with a whopping Rs 5 crore for an eight-minute New Year performance at a Goa restaurant, underlining the name she has made for herself in special numbers. The actress commands a far higher price than others who also excel in the genre, including Malaika and Nora Fatehi. “For each of her special dances, be it in films or live, Tamannaah charges anything between Rs 5 crore and Rs 6 crore. She is making more money from these flash appearances than as a leading lady,” says a source.
But not everyone in the entertainment business approves of Tamannaah’s get-rich-quick schemes. For instance, a Telugu-Hindi actress, referring to Tamannaah’s high-priced year-enders, says, “She is one of the highest-paid actresses. Financially, she must be well-placed. She is free to do what she likes, but she must consider how such commercial concessions damage her image.”
