Rashmika Mandanna’s severe hip injury has delayed the shooting schedule of director Atlee’s upcoming mega-budget film Raaka by nearly two months. The highly anticipated Rs 700-crore sci-fi fantasy film, starring Allu Arjun, has put its filming timeline on hold.
Atlee has prioritised Rashmika’s recovery and instructed the team not to rush her back, as her upcoming scenes are physically demanding. The crew has realigned the shooting schedule to ensure that Rashmika returns to the sets only by late September or early October 2026, depending on her rehabilitation progress.
Rashmika plays a pivotal role in the narrative as a guide and protector alongside a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur. The actor recently suffered a complete detachment of the tendon in her right hip. The accident occurred while she was rehearsing a physically demanding dance sequence for another project, Mysaa. Medical specialists have advised her six weeks of complete bed rest, followed by a structured rehabilitation programme to restore mobility.
