Ranveer No More Sanjay Bhansali’s Blue-Eyed Boy
Sanjay Leela Bhansali who gave Ranveer the superstar status with Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, was not one of the invitees. The director and actor are no more close friends.

On July 6, Ranveer Singh celebrated his 40th birthday with a very private get-together where only close friends were welcome. Sanjay Leela Bhansali who gave Ranveer the superstar status with Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, was not one of the invitees. The director and actor are no more close friends.
The fall-out happened over Bhansali’s underproduction venture Love & War. Bhansali signed up Ranbir Kapoor for one of the male leads in the love triangle. Ranbir’s better-half Alia Bhatt was signed for the female lead.
The director offered the second male lead in Love & War to Ranveer Singh who understandably felt affronted after playing the main lead in three back-to-back directorials of Bhansali . In fact, Ranveer was all set to play the lead in the fourth Bhansali film Baiju Bawra where Ranveer’s leading lady was going to be Alia Bhatt. Instead, the filmmaker decided to make Love & War, and Vicky Kaushal stepped into Ranveer’s place.
Ranveer instead chose to do Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar which will release on December 5. In Dhurandhar, Ranveer plays India’s National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval.
