Ram Charan’s PEDDI To Cost Rs300 Crore?

Costs are rising because manufacturers are spending everything on period sets and technical staff,” says source

The budgets for reigning star Ram Charan’s much-awaited film PEDDI are soaring, with insiders revealing that the production costs could cross a whopping Rs 300 crore. The ambitious project boasts an enviable ensemble cast including Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shivraj Kumar, and Divyendu Sharma, with none other than A.R. Rahman composed the music.

An industry source shares, “The cost is escalating because the makers are sparing no expense — from elaborate period sets to top-notch technical crew.” At present, a massive Vizianagaram town is being erected on the outskirts of Hyderabad. “It will be a near-perfect replica of the existing Vizianagaram, complete with houses, artifacts, and roads matching the real town,” the source explains.

Renowned art director Avinash Kolla, known for his work in Krishnagadi Prema Gadha and Mr. Majnu, has been roped in to design the sets. Plans include constructing a railway station, rural villages, and even a sports stadium. “Since the film is set in the 1980s, the team is carefully recreating the era to bring back its charm and make it relatable for today’s audience,” adds the source.
