Ram Charan’s Faux Pas At ‘Peddi’ Event

The actor mixes up Bhopal and Bihar, calls Bumrah a footballer

Actor Ram Charan found himself at the centre of an unintended controversy during the launch of the Peddi song Hellallallo in Bhopal on Sunday.

During the event, Ram Charan reportedly made a couple of slips while interacting with the audience. At one point, he mistakenly referred to Bhopal as Bihar.

Later, while taking part in a rapid-fire session about Indian cricketers, he accidentally described star pacer Jasprit Bumrah as a football player. The remarks quickly went viral on social media, drawing reactions from fans.

Ram Charan subsequently addressed the mix-up and issued a public apology to Bumrah on X. Calling it a “genuine human error,” the actor wrote: “Uff... I’m genuinely so forgetful with names sometimes. Apologies to Jasprit Bumrah ji for the mix-up — it was a genuine human error in the middle of all the excitement and the crowd.” He added that he has immense respect for the Indian fast bowler and is a big admirer of his achievements on the cricket field.

The event was attended by Ram Charan, music composer A. R. Rahman and the team of Peddi. team of Peddi.
