‘Raaka’ Keeps Sai out of Tollywood?

Composer Sai Abhyankar, who rose to popularity with independent hits such as Katchi Sera, Aasa Kooda and Pavazha Malli, has been making a mark in South Indian cinema with projects including Dude and Suriya’s Karuppu.

According to industry reports, Sai has agreed not to sign another Telugu film until Raaka releases. The reported exclusivity arrangement could explain why he has not announced more Tollywood projects, even as fellow composers GV Prakash Kumar and Anirudh Ravichander continue to explore Telugu cinema.

With Raaka bringing together Allu Arjun and Atlee, the composer’s work on the ambitious project is attracting considerable interest. More Telugu assignments could follow once the film reaches theatres.
