Fake content shared online is harming her personality rights, says actress

The Bombay High Court has given Preity Zinta leave to file a civil suit against Google LLC, Meta and other digital platforms over alleged AI-generated content using her face and voice.
The actress says deepfake videos, fake memes and chatbot personas are spreading through these platforms, damaging her reputation and goodwill and violating her personality rights.
She proposes to take legal action to stop the sharing of such content and claim damages.
Having got the go-ahead from the High Court, Preity will now move forward with steps to protect her personality rights.
