‘Peddi’ Delayed, Revamp in Progress

Pawan Kalyan’s Ustad Bhagat Singh will move into the March 27 slot

Ram Charan’s eagerly-awaited film Peddi is undergoing a major revamp and won’t be able to make the planned release date – March 27, the actor’s birthday.

“Peddi is not ready. Ram Charan feels more work is needed on the action scenes and on special effects,” an informed source told this writer, adding, “after the success of Dhurandhar and the failure of The Raja Saab, Ram Charan doesn’t want to take any chances.”

There are also reports that a lavish song and dance sequence will be added to Peddi.

Star actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has wrapped up the shoot of Ustaad Bhagat Singh last year, with the film currently in the final stages of post-production. The makers are planning a summer release and have now zeroed in on March 26 as the release date — as soon as it was learnt that Ram Charan’s film Peddi is being delayed.

An official announcement from the makers is expected soon. “Pawan Kalyan has taken the place of his nephew in March to keep Mega fans happy, as Peddi is now set to hit the screens in May,” says a distributor.
