Parvathy To Lend Her Voice to Kareena in Malayalam
Makes dubbing debut with Daayra

Malayalam star Parvathy Thiruvothu is set to make her voice-acting debut by dubbing for Kareena Kapoor Khan in the Malayalam version of Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming crime thriller Daayra.
Kareena plays an intense and determined investigator in the film, which also stars Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. The makers have reportedly chosen Parvathy to bring the character’s emotional depth and intensity to the Malayalam version.
While it is uncommon for a leading actress to dub for another star, Indian cinema has seen similar instances. Revathi famously dubbed for Tabu in several Tamil films, while Rohini lent her voice to Aishwarya Rai in Mani Ratnam’s Raavanan. Suhasini Maniratnam also dubbed for Heera Rajagopal in Thiruda Thiruda.
In Telugu too, Actor Raasi dubbed for Kajal Aggarwal in her Telugu debut, Lakshmi Kalyanam. Actor Swathi dubbed for Ileana D’Cruz in Jalsa, and Nithya Menen dubbed for her co-star Isha Talwar in Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyindhe.
Parvathy’s involvement in Daayra marks an interesting crossover between Hindi and Malayalam cinema, bringing together two acclaimed actresses through the film’s multilingual release.
Box: The makers have reportedly chosen Parvathy to bring emotional depth and intensity to Kareena’s character in the Malayalam version. The dub aims to tailor the film’s gritty narrative for regional audiences.
