Sohail Khan reveals real reasons behind his drastic weight loss
Sohail Khan is touched, amused and alarmed about the overwhelming concern for his sudden weight loss, but hastens to clarify that his health is not in jeopardy, and that the weight loss happened organically and naturally.
He lost 12 kgs while participating as a wildcard contestant on a reality television show The Alliance. His drastically lean appearance at the show’s wrap-up party sparked intense online speculation regarding his health and possible use of weight-loss drugs.
The 55-year-old actor-producer told this writer that he had contracted a severe stomach infection during his first week inside the House, which heavily impacted his ability to eat. Given the physical demands of the challenges he had to undertake, and be careful about his diet. He shared that living in a ‘locked-in’ environment made him quite claustrophobic, which added to the overall physical toll.
“I needed to control what I was eating, as I wanted to be a part of the challenges and be around the new family and friends that I made till the last day, and now for a lifetime. So, no Ozempic, no fat burners. I’m only taking pure food with loads of love and affection from everyone.”
