Actor Nani is steadily building a reputation as a producer in Telugu cinema, with a string of content-driven films and an eye for fresh talent,. His latest production venture, Alias Rukmini, starring Nithiin and directed by Muralikanth Devasoth, is another step in that direction.
While maintaining a busy acting schedule, Nani has consistently backed unconventional stories and promising filmmakers. Producer Raj Kandukuri, known for supporting meaningful cinema, believes Nani has developed a strong instinct for quality content.
“He has a keen eye for good cinema and has struck the right balance between acting and production. From Awe to HIT and Court: State Vs A Nobody, he has backed fresh ideas that connect with audiences. His promotional strategies have also played a key role in turning these films into commercial successes,” says Raj Kandukuri.
Nani is now set to take a giant leap as a producer by backing a high-budget film starring megastar Chiranjeevi, to be directed by Srikanth Odela. According to industry insiders, it reflects the confidence Chiranjeevi has in Nani’s creative vision.
Earlier, acclaimed filmmaker Nag Ashwin praised Nani’s contribution to Telugu cinema at a promotional event for Court: State Vs A Nobody. “In the last decade, I directed two films and produced one, while Nani has completed over 20 films and introduced several young directors and actors. His passion and commitment to cinema are truly remarkable,” he said.
