Mythri Eyeing Salman’s Superhero Film?
Mythri in the race to produce Raj & DK superhero project as it scales up Hindi slate
After finding success with Jaat, leading Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers is expanding its pan-India footprint by backing films across languages. It is now reportedly in the race to produce a superhero film headlined by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
The project will be directed by Raj & DK and is currently in pre-production, with shooting expected to begin next year. Mythri is said to be a strong contender to bankroll the film, though another production house is also in talks for a possible co-production. An official announcement is awaited.
Salman Khan is presently working on Vamshi Paidipally’s action entertainer, produced by Dil Raju. He is expected to move to Raj & DK’s film once that wraps.
Mythri Movie Makers built a strong Telugu presence with Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun. It also produced Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly. A Salman Khan superhero film would boost its pan-India push and Hindi market brand.
