Manoj Bajpayee Goes All-Out for the Family Man — Season 3
Jaideep Ahlawat is the man to watch in the upcoming series
With Raj and DK’s Honey Bunny, the Indian offshoot of Priyanka Chopra’s Citadel franchise, being denied a second season due to extremely poor ratings, and the duo’s underproduction series Rakt Bramhand: The Bloody Kingdom reportedly getting axed, all their hopes are pinned on Season 3 of The Family Man.
Sources from the series claim, “Raj-DK are going all-out to ensure Season 3 of Family Man goes even further than the previous two seasons. And Manoj Bajpayee is playing a big part in shaping this season into another blockbuster. On set, he is far more than just the lead actor. In fact, watching him on sets, we wondered why he hasn’t officially directed a film as yet.”
Says Manoj Bajpayee, “We are all doing our best to make this Season as audience-friendly as the first two.”
The versatile actor cannot get over the popularity of this espionage drama. “When we started, we had no idea The Family Man would go this far. Is it the most popular work that I’ve done? I would say, most definitely yes. I’ve done some other excellent serials on OTT like Abhishek Chaubey’s Killer Soup, but somehow the reach of The Family Man has gone beyond anything.”
Manoj is gung-ho about Season 3 which will stream shortly on Amazon Prime. “All I can say at this moment is that those out there who loved Season 1 and 2 won’t be the least disappointed. If the highlight of Season 2 was Samantha, in Season 3 it is Jaideep Ahlawat. What a fine actor! I love working with actors who are as dedicated to the task of getting it right as much as I am,” he enthuses.
