The image, which shows Mahesh Babu in saffron robes with a bow against a rustic backdrop, quickly went viral, with fans debating whether it is an actual leak from the film or an AI-generated creation. Either way, it has reignited excitement around Rajamouli’s mythological adventure, which is currently in production.
The buzz follows Rajamouli’s recent revelations during his France tour, where he described seeing Mahesh as Lord Rama as a “goosebumps” moment, praising the actor for embodying both “Krishna’s charm and Rama’s calmness.”
The filmmaker has also confirmed that Varanasi will feature a spectacular 20-30 minute Ramayana sequence, filmed in IMAX, that promises to be one of the film's biggest highlights.
