Luxury Wheels, Loving Son: Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Father’s Day Gift
Young opener gifts father a Mercedes GLE despite ODI snub

Despite missing out on India’s squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s spirits stayed high. The young opener, who struck a brilliant century in his last ODI against Afghanistan on Saturday, chose to mark Father’s Day with a special gesture.
On Sunday morning, Jaiswal flew into Mumbai and surprised his parents with a visit to a luxury car showroom. He handed over the keys of a brand-new blue Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d to his father.
“Jaiswal had booked the car a few days ago but insisted on taking delivery on Sunday. He wanted it to be a surprise for his father,” Apurva Antani, an executive at Autohangar, told this reporter.
The car’s registration number is 6467 — a nod to his India jersey number 64. The SUV joins Jaiswal’s growing collection, which already includes an Innova and an MG, parked at his BKC residence in Mumbai. The gesture underlines not just Jaiswal’s rise on the cricket field, but also his deep gratitude and affection for his family.
