KTR Demands Probe Into Miss England’s Allegations
In a strongly worded post, he rightly condemned the attitude of victim gaslighting by the organisers, where they brushed aside the allegations as “unfounded, inconsistent and exaggerated”

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday called for a thorough investigation into the troubling allegations made by Miss England Milla Magee, who recently withdrew from the ongoing Miss World 2025 pageant in Hyderabad, citing ethical concerns.
In a strongly worded post on X, the senior BRS leader condemned victim gaslighting and extended his support to Magee for speaking out.
“It takes a lot of guts to stand up and call out misogynistic mentality, especially on international forums like Miss World. You are a very strong woman, Milla Magee, and I am truly sorry you had to go through this in our state of Telangana,” Rama Rao wrote.
“Telangana has a rich culture of respecting women. Some of the greatest leaders from our land are women like Rani Rudrama and Chityala Ailamma. What you experienced does not represent the true spirit of our state.”
“As a father of a girl child, I wish no woman ever has to go through such horrific experiences. I strongly condemn the attitude of victim gaslighting and demand a thorough investigation into the allegations,” he added.
Julia Morley’s response appalling
Rama Rao’s intervention comes at a time when the Miss World Organisation appears to be brushing off Magee’s claims, attributing her exit to a “family emergency” involving her mother’s health.
In a statement, Julia Morley, Chair and CEO of the Miss World organisation, claimed: “We responded to Milla’s situation with compassion and immediately arranged her return to England. Unfortunately, certain UK media outlets have published false and defamatory statements, allegedly made by Milla, regarding her experience in India. These claims are completely unfounded and inconsistent with the reality of her time with us.”
The tone of the response has sparked outrage, with many calling it appalling and dismissive. Critics argue that the least the organisers could do was listen to Magee’s concerns with seriousness and empathy, rather than preemptively discrediting her account as “exaggerated” or “false” without a transparent inquiry.
Magee’s allegations — reportedly involving misconduct and deeply uncomfortable experiences during the pageant — have yet to be officially detailed. But KTR’s demand for a probe puts pressure on both the Telangana authorities and the Miss World organisers to treat the matter with the seriousness it warrants.
As the controversy grows, what was meant to be a global celebration of beauty and empowerment in Hyderabad is now mired in serious ethical questions, and the world is watching how they will be addressed.
